Apples, Apples, Apples – A Child Grows

It’s fall, and because we are all desperate to get outside, apple picking is even more popular than ever this year. And, as most of us are at least partially homeschooling (isn’t that what virtual school really is?), why not have your kids learn all about apples and makes some great stuff with those apples you pick.There are more than 7,500 different kinds of apples and, strangely, the Red Delicious is the most popular (why?).  I like Fuji. They are always making new ones and they just made a new one called Cosmic Crisp. It’s a hybrid of a Honeycrisp and an Enterprise apple. I haven’t tried it yet.Did you know that you should keep them in the fridge? I just learned this.
