The new Netflix rom-com series, Nobody Wants This, follows a rabbi (Adam Brody) and an agnostic sex podcaster (Kristen Bell) falling in love to the disapproval of everyone around them. The first episode drops today. If you’re religious, have you dated someone outside your faith? Would love to hear about your experience, if you’re up for sharing. (Also, in the show, their siblings are Jonah from Veep and Willa from Succession!)

I recently refreshed all our towels with a fluffy stack of white cotton ones. I love stepping out of the shower and wrapping myself up and feeling so clean and good. The nicest towels I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a LOT) are the super plush ones from Brooklinen, our beloved longtime partner and a brand our family has used for a decade. Bonus right now: Get 15% off your first order, sitewide.

Remember this essay by a woman who was diagnosed with autism at age 34? Marian Schembari has now written a heartfelt, funny, wonderful memoir about growing up feeling “different,” becoming overwhelmed by noises and lights, struggling with social awkwardness, and finally learning that she wasn’t broken — she was just autistic. I read the manuscript months ago, and then reread the book in a single day last weekend, and wept. Her memoir is a gift that will help people feel compassion for themselves and others. Also! I’m having a conversation with Marian on Monday, October 7th, at Barnes & Noble UWS; please join us, if you’d like. xoxo

As a Michigan girl, I grew up eating Detroit-style pizza — a crispy pan pizza with sauce on top of the cheese. “The stuff is freaking delicious,” wrote J. Kenji López-Alt. Now and again, I’ve tried a version in NYC, but they’ve never gotten it quite right, until Nate’s Pizza recently opened in Carroll Gardens. Gahhhhh, it’s so good. And López-Alt also figured out a great recipe to make at home.
What have you been enjoying lately? Please tell me in the comments! xo
P.S. More fun things, and pizza math.
